A complete assessment of the fingernails requires the consideration of all aspects of the fingernails, which include: the nail plate, the lunula, the free edge, the cutticle, and the various nail folds.

FINGERNAILS play a decisive role in the hand-diagnosis for e.g. the following disorders:
